Austrian Zipflbob Federation

For meanwhile nearly 10 years many Zipflbob races and events have been organised every year.

The successful history of this young trend sport, meanwhile with events in America, Canada, Australia and Japan, started in a small town in the tyrolian alps: Kitzbühel. The fact that the Zipflbobsport took his origin just in the tyrolian sports city also does not come by chance: The Zipflbob (minibobs) was invented here in the 70s. The first official Zipflbobrace took place in 1999 on the Kitzbüheler Horn, organised by the first registered Zipflbob Community, the Kitzbüheler Zipflbob Association (KZV) with representative Joe Berger.

Of the results of the Austrian Championchips in 2000-2002 gave occasion to carry out in winter 2003 the first Zipflbob World Series with races in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

This year the Zipflbob World Series takes place already for the sixth time. The venues are valid as sure about snow and as magnets for trendy winter sports.

Not only the Zipflbob World Series will be organized. This winter there are so many events as never before. Some associations have been based meanwhile also in Austria and Germany which organise some races.
